I went to a KTF shop, yesterday, to ask about getting a mobile phone. The told me that one of the things required is a Korean credit card. I was in Korea years ago and the requirement, back then, was a 200,000 won deposit. Apparently, this no longer applies. Of course, when I asked someone else in the shop, he told me different requirements.
I am wondering if anyone has the heads up on the requirements of the different companies for getting a mobile phone.
Cheers. |

KTF: Korean credit card, A.R.C., and connection fee.
SK: KW 200,000 deposit, A.R.C., and connection fee.
LG: A.R.C., and connection fee.
A friend of mine went the SK way and after 1 year he told them he was no longer in need of their services and they returned the money after disconnecting the phone.
I went the KTF way years ago, and when I got a Samsung Card I changed the phone to my name.
As for LG, many people I know, and on this board have said the same thing as stated above.
Whatever you decide to do, keep in mind that the connection fee is around KW 50,000 |
