I have an AnyCall JUNE model, it's a lovely phone but the Samsung English support is very limited; I have figured out how to do most things with the phone but I can't get the computer to recognize it when I plug it in with a USB cable; it just gives me an error message (in Korean) which I *think* says it has no driver, then tries to search for one and fails. Can anyone help?
Or perhaps better, can anyone recommend a different brand of phone (CDMA of course for Korea) that has COMPLETE English instructions and support? |

you need to download anycall pc manager programme
if you already have one, you also have to down load usb programme as well...
http://www.anycall.com/support/down/support_down_pcm_plus.jsp
you can download from this web
you'd better ask someone who can read korean though |

On at least some Anycall phones you can download the driver, but you can't install the interface program without a Korean ID number. |

Just went through a five hour ordeal with wife trying to help me with my Motorolla Razor. I wanted Kung Fu Fighting (Carl Douglas) as my ringtone...and she finally did it after a boatload of calls to tech support and searching around for it. We ended up having to pay for the song because it's not on one of the popular Korean free sites...whew, finally done with that chapter. |

The LG interface is far easier to use than Samsung.
I read that even in the States pple with Samsungs were having a hard time. But, yeah, you need the driver to run the program, too. If you have already PCLink2000kor but can't get SamsungUSBDriver it's 1.8 mb zip file so can send to your email. |

good luck man.. I've spent a total of about 8 hours trying to get my phone hooked up to my pc. I got it to work once in a PC bang, but was unable to replicate what I'd done later. had no less than 5 koreans try to help me. finally gave up.
just by a digitcal camera and spend the time you would've spent fenagling with the phone teaching privates.. cover your losses |

Qin's got that right. I'm a serious opponent of the over-funk-tion-ification of mobile phones. How many of us use the MP3 player on our mobiles? It's there, so why don't you use it? Why don't Korean themselves use it? Because it's limited and it's annoyingly cumbersome to set up. Same with the digital camera function. I'd happily pay the same amount for a mobile without those two useless (for me) add-ons. You don't get back the hours you waste trying to "be like the Koreans". |
