I hate korea because of the often loud obnoxious Canadians incessant anti american rhetoric. I hate Korea because of the racists Koreans who are incapable of understanding the concept that racisms begets racism, so if they don't like me because of my skin color what makes them think that I can't won't react in their exact same manner when I walk into their cousins liquor store on the lower east side. I hate the westerners here who forget the freedoms that we have back home and find excuses for korean behavior or who are just 100% ambivalent towards it. I hate korea because of the absence of normal people. I hate korea because there isn't a week that goes by when I don't get a little kid doing monkey noises in front of me, or a fellow english teacher insisting that I'm in the military because there's no way that an african american male could actually be teaching here. I hate korea because while this is the third country i've lived in the past 2 years, it's the first where i actually feel uncomfortable 24hrs a day and seven days a week. I hate korea because of wanna be korean hip hoppers who still won't let black people into some of their clubs. I hate korea for just the inordinate amount of scum from all backgrounds that just some how manage to find themselves in the exact same position I am.
I like korea because it's different, it's a new culture, it's a great way to make great money and kill a year before law school, and because i'm black and if there's one thing (besides the bitterness that i am clearly exhibiting) that black people and korean people share it's the love for BBQ... I was born to eat SG Sal

Wow, this is your first post. Nothing about Korea, or teaching, but this??? Not to mention you don't seem to have a good grasp of the titles of the different forums yet. Iran and Russia aren't able to make a real war. And China isn't that stupid. I also love your dig on Canadians and the French. Please go back to whatever hickville you came from and leave us alone. |
