In fact, I dare say I am completely apathetic towards Brazil but I gotta tell you that there is something about Ronaldinho that makes me think he's a witch.
watch this retarded video.

Yes, he's the most mesmerising talent in world soccer at the moment and it's a delicious thought of the service he could provide Brazil's forwards this summer, except if you are an Australian or Croat defender that is.
Maradonna could also control a football in ways that often seemed to laugh at science, like the way he once he brought down a ball coming across the field and at a great altitude and speed (against Russia in the '90 WC). He jumped up and 'caught' the ball nonchalantly like a ballerina, leaping about three feet high as he did so. It caused your jaw to drop. For the record also, Pele was one of the select bracket of players who could 'pass' the ball off opposing players' legs as he dribbled, using them in effect like a stationary wall. Bobby Charlton once described how Edson Arantes De Nascimento performed this outrageous maneouver against him many times in the 1970 WC face off.
Let's hope Mr. Gaucho can take up where he left off in 2002 |

Ronaldinho didn't actually peform that bar hitting skill.
It was an advert by Nike for his new Ronaldinho Gold Tiempo boots and if you look closely the ball is CGI'd as it comes off the bar....amazing how every time he hits the ball it goes upwards and follows the line of flight every time and his control of it and exactly the same everytime too.
Remember it's an advert.
Having said that i did hear a story. Someone training and watching an old bloke teaching on the next pitch. He asks who the man is in a disparaging tone and told it is Socrates (a Brazilian legend). Socrates then proceeds to hit 5 or 6 free kicks against the bar to order. This could also be fake though.
An Argentine player Guillem Balague recounts a story about Maradona. Maradona used to bet he could hit the bar from the half-way line 7 times out of 10. Apparently he always won the bet. |

Seen this one. He's good but he's not that good! No one is. It's CGI'd. |

Ya Brazilian soccer is good but the GORGEOUS women, the WICKED food, the FRIENDLY people, the BEAUTIFUL beaches and the AWESOME beer are reasons why Brazil is such an amazing place. The complete opposite of this hole in every way except for the money. For those of you who think Korean women are good looking, they aren't even in the same area code of Brazilian women. Why oh why did I go there first before coming to Korea. |

Sao Paulo, can't wait to go back. Going to make sure I have enough cash so I never have to come back here again. You're right about the Philippines, they remind me of Brazilian women. Will never understand the fuss about Korean women. Where were you? |

sao paulo 4 months, rio de janeiro 2 months.. and briefly salvador, curitiba, brasilia and iguazu falls.
i loved sao paulo more than rio.. lived in pinheiros and spent a lot of time in jardins at night.. absolutely loved it! and every paulistino says sao paulo is the worst place to be! not in my opinion.. loved it more than rio.
if i were to go back.. would love to be in the northeast somewhere. |

I still remember in World Cup 1998 when they played against Turkey, one of the Turks passed him the ball so he could take a corner kick. It hit him in the leg and he fell to the ground clutching his head and faking an injury. The ref actually sided with him. The Brazilian team may win a lot, but they're all d-bags. |

That Joga ad came out while I was living in Barca. Ronaldinho and Rijkaard said that it was legit. He seems to be a pretty honest bloke, so I tend to accept it.
However, with that said, I'm more impressed by his in-game skills.
Check out some video homages to the greatest player of our era: 1, 2, 3.
La Liga [and likely Champion's Cup] champions.
Namaste. |

That's incredible!
However...
...this is still my number 1 favorite thing about Brazil. |
