And he just stood there like he knew nothing would happen to him.

I didn't get that at all, it was more like what Pet Lover said, thrown in with a bit of "Oh *beep*, which way do I run?!?" hesitation.

When I lived on Grand Cayman there was a 'land crab' season when all the big crabs would come out of the jungle and forest, moving to wherever it was they moved to (mating, maybe?); usually at night.
Some of them were the size of dinner plates.

Running over one could sometimes blow out your car tire, or if you were on a scooter, wipe you out (this happened to me only once).
But they totally remind me of this guy, in that they would often do a little sort of dodging dance, hopping left and right, just before decidng which way to dodge out of the way.

Unlike this guy though, they usually got smucked- it seems, like most animals, they get confused by the headlights and 90% of the time they time their last dodge so that they are under one headlight or the other (or on a scooter, under the only headlight) when the vehicle passes over. And of course that's where the tire are located on most vehicles...

That guy in the video has horseshoes up his butt and more than few rabbits' feet and 4 leaf clovers in his pockets too.
