What do you make of Bill Sardi? It must be hard for him~ taking on the big pharmaceutical companies & all. I really think he is onto something.

From a quick look at the ad, he appears to be a snake-oil salesman. I'll have a closer look at his site when I have a functional computer ... but I certainly wouldn't put any faith in his ideas without corroboration from a more trustworthy source.

IMHO It seems like maybe you're not giving the guy a fair shake. I personally have great respect for Bill Sardi. He's fighing for all of us and is attempting to give accurate information about vitamins, nutrition, etc. I don't think he'll be bought off either. I think he has pretty good integrity as well.

All the best with finding a functional computer.

This is the first I've heard of this guy and I'm just not convinced he's reliable -- when I read stuff by Dr. Joel Fuhrman, Dr. Colin Campbell and a few other experts I consider trustworthy, it's obvious from their writing that they have solid evidence to support their statements. They always present their information in a clear, logical way that any lay person can understand -- even though they do cite medical journals and other scientific sources. That doesn't mean I put blind trust in these writers, either. But I have great respect for their work because they've earned it.

I'm also really skeptical of anyone who tells people to eat meat, which contains excess iron, and then offers to sell us all a bottle of rice bran extract to help us get rid of it. I think our bodies usually do a pretty good job of staying healthy if we provide healthy conditions -- which most of us unfortunately don't. I admit I'm not a healthy eater, but I really don't see how rice bran extract can make a sick person well or make up for the effects of a terrible diet, years of smoking and drinking, and not enough sleep. In Campbell's book, The China Study, I think he makes a very compelling case that most cancers and other degenerative diseases don't result from a lack of rice bran extract (he doesn't mention it specifically, but if you read the book you'll see my point) and does a good job of explaining why those kinds of quick fixes don't work.

There may be something to this guy's ideas, but I'm certainly not about to believe anything he says just because he says so. I'd take every claim on a case-by-case basis and check it out to see if it has any merit.

Now this guy has really taken on the medical establishment, and what he says is absolutely solid and can be backed up:
