Went out to watch friends play football in Cheongju yesterday and today I sound so raspy my voice is switching between high girly tones and a gravelly Barry White. I hate this time of year with avengence. |

Last one caught me by surprise and I'm still suffering. Anyone know of any sites (in English or Korean) that forecast when a sandstorm is expected? I've heard that they can't be predicted very early, but even half a day in advance would help out a lot.
Thanks |

Go to the Ȳ section and you can see sandstorms coming if you go to Ȳ翵 |

Unfortunately, do we even have a right to make comments such as these? Considering how much damage our industrial revolution did and continues to do, I don't think so. |

I do. At least there is some sort of notion of environmental stewardship in developed countries, and there are people willing to sacrifice themselves in its interest. At this rate, the Chinese will choke on their own waste long before we do.
When pollution starts spilling across borders, other nations have every right to intervene.
Today is scheduled to be Sports Day at my school, and unbelievably, they're going ahead as planned. The kids are going to be outside running around in this crap all day long. I'm sitting in the office and I can actually taste the dust in the air from here. There's going to be a lot of sore eyes and throats around this place by the end of the day. |

Wait a minute....I thought that the US was the biggest, evil polluter of the global environment? |

Two interesting little bits of information I just recently came across, perhaps old news to some.
1)The Chinese government have recently begun a program of planting trees on the outskirts of Beijing in order to block some of the dust from entering the city.
2)The Chinese government are actually importing garbage from other developed nations. They get paid a fine sum of money for doing this. |
