The wife and I were walking around Iteawon to pick up a phone card and suddenly the fun begins...

We walk into this store and these two ladies are talking away, looked like sisters, and suddenly the one on our side of the counter walks across the lane to a LG phone shop and starts arguing with the lady in that shop. Now if you can picture this the shop entrances are only 5 metres apart across this single lane so we could hear everything. All in Korean of course and lots of shouting. The lady in the shop we were in just ignored us and watched here sister argue with this lady. After a minute the sister walked out of the other shop but just as she was about to cross the lane the lady in the LG shop shouted something at here like f..k y**! I am sure. So the sister went back in and started screaming again, then the LG lady picked up some papers and threw them at the sister, then it was on!!! Wow I was loving it! Then sister in the shop we were in jumped from behind the counter, ran past us straight into the LG shop, around the counter and started swinging! Yes .. Throwing punches! It was on two sisters vs. LG lady! The wife was a bit freaked out, but I was loving it (Sorry, I mean in shock!). I even had time to flag an American guy on the side who didn't see what was going on to check out the fight! He was very thankful. After a few minutes the three each had each others hair in their hands, a stalemate, two Korean guys jumped in, and finally it was broken up. We then left! Now that was interesting! Never even seen men in a fight in Korea, let alone ladies. With all the compensation stuff I figured most people dont fight.

Gee, a fight in Itaewon. Imagine that.

Was this the lane that's kind of behind Memories (the German restaurant)? I was in there today (buying a phone card) and the two ladies looked fairly sedate.

No, we ended up leaving as the ladies still looked upset and I dont think they really cared about selling cards.

This is in the lane behind Burger King, pass the sushi place, a 7-eleven I think, then left into the lane. Its the 2nd or 3rd store on the left and LG shop directly across.

I saw something similar (although no fist swining) at Lotte World when I was waiting for someone several months ago. Two women (it looked like a daughter and mother maybe) were yelling at each other and fighting over a purse.

I have to admit, I just stood there with my soda and watched like it was a drama. It was good enough to kill a few minutes while I waited at least.

I witnessed a serious fight between two women (young beautiful women) a few years ago when I lived in Pusan. I frequented a Korean bar there (not many foreigners) and suddenly one evening these two staff members (real hotties) start screaming at each other. They start throwing bottles and glass cups at each other, punching and hitting each other with anything and everything. It got really violent and one woman was badly cut. The bar was full of Koreans but not one moved. They simply watched. I was in shock, and immediately tried to intervene and calm things down. I got blood all over my shirt and beard. Friggin unbelievable. Eventually an ambulance arrives and takes the one girl who was bleeding quite badly to the hospital. The Korean folk just carried on with their pints and side dishes.

Totally shocked.

So, where was your camera when you saw this fight? The best fights I see are when I do not have my camera. I once saw 2 guys really going at eachother, and then one of their girlfriends(maybe it was a girlfriend) threw a punch, and another girl joined in.

So, imagine these 2 guys belting eachoither, and the girls punching them.
I had to hurry and go to work, or else I would have stayed.

Man, these fights are a great show...........and they are free!

I'd like to mount a camera on top of Helios looking down at that particular gong show of an intersection and host the feed, so people around the country can see what they're really missing on any given night. Confused
