Does anyone if there is a limit on the amount of money you can send transfer home from a Korean bank account. I've saved around 7000 british pounds/12,000 usd and want to transfer it all back at the one time (only paying one transfer fee) but was wondering if there are any limits in place which mean I will have to do several transfers and therefore pay more than one fee.
Thanks in advance for any info. |

I don't know of a limit, I've never tried sending home that much money. The transfer fee, however, does go up when you send larger sums of money. I think it goes up by 6,000 won when I send over 2,000,000 won home. I'm not sure how the fee goes up after that, though. I've never sent more than 4,000,000 won at one time. |

I don't think it will raise any alarm bells unless you send more than you earn. I've sent nearly 20,000$ home this year without any problems. |
