My school is pushing me to choose traveler's insurance over the national insurance plan because it will save them money. I don't have all the info yet, but supposedly the traveler's plan costs half as much, and has higher co-pays unless costs exceed 100,000 won, after which they cover everything. I don't know how the national plan covers large costs but I do know that very few Koreans opt for private insurance. I would much appreciate any advice.

Oh, and I still have the book that the national insurance agency issued to me two years ago. Of course I doubt that I could just go to the hospital tomorrow and use it, but that would be nice since I probably have an ear infection. Sad
