| My curiosity has been piqued by another thread that actually has little to do with this one (and yes, I know this has probably been asked before). How many of you have been here 5 years or more but are not married, and never have been, to a Korean? I haven't been here that long yet but I could certainly see it happening. Even if there were any suitable candidates, marriage seems like such a commitment to the place. |

| I've been here since 1997 minus one year. But, I'm not a lifer. I never married a Korean and that is probably why I'm not a lifer. Married to a foreigner? Not yet........... |

I've been here around 5 years now...
Does that make me a lifer...not sure...
I got married 3 years ago.
I am NOT married to a Korean.
She is not a westerner either. |

| Over 10 years in Korea and over 8 years with the same girlfriend, but I've evaded the marriage farce. |

Thanks, but it must have been under poor lighting when we met.

I do not believe you. There is no way that you are older than I am! Now I really feel like a hag! IF that is true, that you must have looked 11 when you were 22. |

| Getting married to a foreigner next month; we met five years ago in Korea and are still together. A very exclusive club, methinks. |
