I use CNN.com for The States. Their world coverage is good, however I feel it may be a little biased at times. Could you guys refer me to other sites?

The Financial Times combined with Fark.com will satisfy all your world news needs.

CNN often seems extremely local and focused on missing white girls. They've got cash flow and Fox News to worry about.

I use BBC.com, it is balanced and you can click on whatever region of the world you want to read about and you get great coverage..

CNN is not good, maybe for american domestic news but internationally it is much too american focused and for Asia/Pacific it is crap outside of news on North Korea. The good thing about it is its use of video so you can watch individual stories

Also get the IHT(International Herald Tribune) delievered to my house which is good to read while I am having dinner

I'm not a massive admirer of the BBC, but I think it's the best out there.

CNN's website is good but as a news channel it's abysmal IMO. It has the same adverts on constantly, which just irritates.

I listen to NPR until I feel sleepy(usually about 4 minutes) then I switch to BBC World. But I always read al-Jazeera(not taking the piss).

Most American media focuses too much on "How will this affect Americans?" It's all meaningless to me.

For now I get everything I need from Fark. There you get the widest variety of alternatives.

God!! All those writing about CNN and it being their world view, really scare me......some VERY disturbing, palate withering food there......

www.slate.com works for me . Also Christian science Monitor www.csmonitor.com , a few commentators I like. I also like BBC for their international coverage, especially s.America and Africa. I subscribe to Harpers and also N.Y. Review of Books, for a deeper analysis.......both actually have pretty prompt and reasonable foreign subscription rates....

All the news I need to know can be had in a glance at Yahoo!'s homepage -- if it takes more than 4 seconds it generally isn't worth it.

I read the New York Times online everyday. To register I think you need a U.S. address. Any address with a zip code will do. If you want help with that. send me a PM.

CNN International is much better than the U.S. domestic version- which, as Bill Maher puts it, is "all blonds all the time". BBC is good- I get it on cable in my office.

But day to day, the easiest is The NY Times and CNN International (on the home tele).

I go to google's news page daily. It usually gives me a pretty good rundown in all areas of the news. http://news.google.com/

I watch TV news in the morning and only glance at internet news throughout the day.

Now that Arirang has ditched BBC, I'm stuck with CNN. I don't mind it, but the commercials can grate on the nerves sometimes.
