I was wondering how many of you actually maintain a blog about your experiences in Korea. I have come across quite a few, but not many compared with how many ESL teachers there are. It would just make sense to me to keep one, instead of rewriting the same e-mails or telling the same stories over and over to loved ones and friends. |

I've kept a blog for several years now.
I try not to talk much about Korea.
It brings me down.
I do spend a lot of time talking about how much I'm looking forward to getting out of here... if that counts.

Namaste? Are you Indian? I would understand what you wrote above that if you were. My Indian friends here tell me that Koreans are not very respectful to them. I guess some feel the need to pass on the racism they get from the Japanese. |

OP,
There are a surplus of blogs out there and the world doesn't need another one. For family and friends is fine because pics are often too big to send via email, but folks are foolish if they expect total strangers to be interested in reading about what they had for dinner last Tuesday. If I wanted to read about someone's life I've never met, it'd be someone who's famous or done something remarkable. |

I keep a web page, but I'm not energetic enough to blog. Still, I enjoy reading other blogs when I'm bored. If you don't like someone's blog--eh--take your money back!
Thanks for the link, Mithridates.

You do know that you CAN leave anytime you want right? Just give notice and...poof! Away you go. |
