I like the idea of another get together, and I love TGIF margaritas, but wouldn't TGI Friday's be insanely crowded on a Saturday? Most of the "family" restaurants have long waiting lists on a Saturday night.

Shinchonite that I am, I recommend Rock Bar in Shinchon. It's big, and it's always dead, but they have an awesome record collection and really cool high ceilings.

Don't like that idea? Wanna go someplace other than Shinchon?

Then come up with a better venue.

Honestly, I think it's too soon. But I would go to just about any piss-up and as far as I am concerned, the last Dave's was a success.

That being said--although I will deign to attend a function at a TGIF's I will only do it if le OP edits his original post for excessive exclamation marks...

Dave's gathering at TGI Fridays??!!

The worst idea since George Bush said, "hey, I could be president!".

You might consider "La Tavola" - it wasn't very crowded the one time I had lunch there, and it's fairly classy for a pizza joint with a bar in Itaewon...

Bringing the kitsch idealists to the table is better than lettin'em spawn indiscriminate-like.

So that means you wouldn't go? Wink

As was said before......There is no such thing as an official Dave's gathering. Sperling does not organize these things. He can't be bothered getting off his pile of cash!!! (joking! Dave actually came a couple of years ago and was a very nice, rich guy).

Anyone who wants to set somethin up should do it.

Ha-ha.

I thought making a suggestion like that after meeting just once would earn me a stern rebuke and a swift kick in the arse. Instead, just one meeting is the qualifying element for the invite.

Ahh...that's the Irish for you. Grand bunch.

The Irish have a saying. "A stranger is just a friend you haven't met".

Kind of the opposite of Korean confucian traditiion.

So, in Korea, a friend is a stranger you haven't met. Makes sense to me.
