Hello all,
Ive been doing some research about teaching in Korea for about a week and have even put in a few applications, but Im beginning to wonder if going through a recruiter might be more effective/expedient. What are your thoughts? Has anyone used one that they felt they could trust?
Oh, one more question. Should I leave the fact that I was in the US Army off my resume (b/c of the current political tension)?
Thanks,
John |

Recruiters are like used car salesmen. There are a few honest ones out there, but the dishonest ones have screwed it up for the good ones.
You don't need a recruiter. Just put your resume up on this board and watch the offers come in. If you have any questions about the schools then ask around in here. Someone might be able to tell you something. |

Ironically, the offers will all be from recruiters... the very people you are saying to stay away from. |

You're right I've already gotten responses from recruiters (New Bridge, IPR, FEET, etc.) and the only "Black List" (if you can call it that) I've found has been on EFL Law... and they only have a few recommended recruiters. I have searched this site as well and haven't seen many strings on specific organizations.
"New Bridge" seems to be fairly professional, anyone had any dealings with them?
Thanks everyone.
Mack, I'm glad you like it. I'm just getting ready for Korea.
