Just a simple question that numerous calls to the labor board have failed to resolve.
Is it legal for your employer to deduct severance the same way they deduct pension from your salary?
Now, obviously, I think it is illegal, but the labor board is unwilling to say so in concrete terms.
Does anyone have any links with the requisite information, stated as clearly as possible? |

No...severance pay is the responsabilty of the employer. They have to pay it's sum in total! |

Well, that's what I figure, but I need some kind of official documentation. The labor board has been mind-bogglingly incompetent on this issue. |

What does it say about severance pay in your contract? Can you post the clause here? |
