I am curious about working in a Catholic University in Korea.
I have never heard of any people who work at one, or used to. But they are everywhere.
I am a Christian, I was baptised, and I do go to church. I certainly would have no problem working there. I am guessing, if they do even hire foreign english teachers, that they would want only a catholic or christian person.
Just...does anyone know more than I do? |

Some teachers get in on the merit of their church background, but many teachers/professors working in Catholic universities are not Catholics or Christians.
A job ad will usually stipulate if the employee requires you to be a devout Christian/Catholic, although, more likely you will probably just get asked in an interview about your faith. Just be honest if you are non Catholic and stress an openess to accept all faiths.
Apply and see. |
