I'm on my 7th month of a 1 year contract in Bundang and I got a 1 month notice because the school's enrollement decreased this year and they are not turning a profit. The job is a great job and the people are good people, it's just that money talks in this country. I could think of all the "what if's?", but I'm ready to move on.

I would like to ask all the teachers working in Seoul now, if your school is looking for anybody? If they are and you think it's a good job, please let me know. I think that's one of the best ways to get a recommendation. Plus you might get to work with me Wink I get along with almost anybody. I'm really searching for anything in Seoul. Mapo-gu, Jung-gu, Jungro-gu, Gangnam-gu, etc... Bundang-gu is a great place to live, but I think the city is better for me. Thanks for your help!

Send me a PM

Conor

Also, if anybody could advise me on things I should do before moving on to another school that would be great. Severence? Pension? What am I entitled to?

I think you'll find a job in no time. I'm sure a dozen recruiters will PM you. The job market is wide open due to the shortage of qualified teachers. Good luck.
