Well done, you politically correct, myopic, nanny welfare state. Within one generation you've gone from having the best schools in the world, which everyone wishes to emulate, to having a system that's the last thing anyone in the industrialised world would ever want. I especially like the Children's Commissioner's words

It is time to stop demonising children and young people for what goes wrong and start supporting them to make positive choices. To bring an end to the confusing messages we give to young people about their role, responsibility and position in society and ensure that every child feels valued and has their rights respected. |
Doesn't that ever sound like the PC drivel of someone to whom you'd give a 100% chance of not being able to solve the problem? |

Actually, it's time for parents to be there for their children and to teach them how to make proper choices. Then, when the kid doesn't make the right choices, it's time for hte parents to scold them and tell them that they made the wrong choice. Then it's time to teach them how to make hte right choice.
If there is still time left over, tell them that nobody owes them anything having that attitude makes them look like nipple sucking babies.
I have no REAL problems with a welfare state so long as some responsibility is put into the hands of authority figure and TAKEN AWAY from their children: Parents, teachers, leaders, give them the power. EFF the kids man. |

Please get the facts right: Not the worst kids, but the worst place for children's happiness. |

English society became so bored at one point that they decided to mix in some drugs and vice to liven it all up.
Its glamorous to them: letting your kid roam the streets is 'character building" in Britain nowadays. its all about being hard. Kids are more likely to be hard if you let them take all sorts of substances and get into streetfights. |

Is there any significance in the top and bottom spots?

The Netherlands tops the league, followed by Sweden, Denmark, Finland and Spain.
The bottom five are Portugal, Austria, Hungary, the US and the UK. |

why would you need a key to string someone up? Surely a good knot would suffice. |
