Ditto, at least in terms of shopping once a month. I'll be travelling a lot all over on the weekends (on the road to the Jeonju film festival this weekend - almost tried a pizza here called "bacon and funghis" Shocked but couldn't bring myself to do it).

That many waygook? sounds like a bigger town than mine.

I'd like to hook up for dinner with you guys sometime in Jinju. There are some great restaurants there.

It's nice place to be. Decent expat crowd meets a Zioorico Wed night around 10. Only real? shopping is EMart. Great movie theater near downtown. Has JinJu Castle. Plan a picnic there and people watch. It's one of my favorites. PM when you're coming to town and I'll get you in touch with the crowd.

When I lived in Jinju I liked to eat barbequed river eel with soju in the restaurants in front of the castle. Superb.

If this were anywhere but Korea, I'd assume that meant "people-watch." Smile

Ah, a man / woman after my own heart (but if yer a man you can jist fergit it)..... Jinju was where I first discovered the joy of 장어 -- and only later found out the place is somewhat famous for it...er, locally at least. Anyway, a day spent in and around the castle and along the Namgang was always nice.

And how about those bizarro low-rent taxidermy and bulk-amethyst displays to enjoy while scarfing your eel and beer? A treat to be not soon forgotten.

Numa,
the "people watch" comment was hilarious! And so true.
And hey, No reason a couple of guys can't eat eel and drink soju.
But I know what you mean.

Hi, just registered and getting ready to move over to Sacheon in mid/late June. I'm going to be there for a week to visit and get everything in order at the end of May. It's really close to Jinju, and several people who have been over there have said Jinju is one of the first places I should go see. Might bump into you there sometime.
