I haven't read your blog yet, but I will and am looking forward to it. I'm listening to your Peace Train BGM right now. (I hope that's not some ominous clue that you've gone the way of Johnny bin Walker. I listened to Cat Stevens when I was small and liked him. Haven't heard that song since ever.)

There was a girl poster on Dave's... who was it?.... who left Korea to teach in Costa Rica. She posted thereafter and loved it, but didn't consider the decision very rewarding financially. Indeed, I seem to recall her saying she couldn't make enough to live there and felt that was a damnable shame. That sounds not so unlike Korea when I got here. Sometimes it's hopeless, sometimes success just takes longer than we can or want to wait. I hope that you find the venture a profitable one and wish you the best of luck, Merlot.

Costa Rica sounds wonderful. Too bad you can't make a living teaching there.
So many people visiting such interesting countries. Envious. Wink

Great job on the blog and pictures.

Good luck in Costa Rica. Are things as good there for foreigners as I've heard, especially retired ones?
