Isohunt is a site where you get the torrents. You need bittorrent, there are many versions, Azureus is a good one... |

What TV shows? This or this may cover the bases.
For hockey you might try CIF or Torrent Spy. Seeders can be in short supply, which amuses me, because I don't like hockey.

Bitcomet and Bitlord frequently get banned from private trackers - for good reason: they suck and have pretty much zero security.
Torrent, Bittsonwheels, Azureus, Tomato, Mainline, etc all have more secure protocols.
Rumor has it that OSX Leopard will have BT built-in. For the PC folks, you have even more reason to avoid crap protocols that can so easily get hacked (especially in a place like South Korea, where your firewall will see hundreds of hits an hour). I think someone has written an anon protocol for PC BT, but it was pretty thread bare.

For my PC I use BlackICE and Panda Titanium. BlackICE can be found pretty easy on many public trackers.

Hey, thanks! And, another question.
What is a good pay down load site? I saw this on the technology forum but for the life of me, I can't find that thread again.
(Some that aren't an arm and a leg. I don't have the patience for the torrent programs and my connection crashes all the time--I don't feel like fixing it and I saw the "methods" recommended on another thread. I also think that for the time that I have my computer on downloading intermittently, volume downloaded versus the time the computer is on to download factor sucks eggs and is not all that much of a "free" thing anyway.) |

Netflix would be the first option, but I don't think you can get items shipped over here.
Beyond that, even if you pay for a service, you'd still have to download it, so you'd need to fix your connection before you could do anything.
Depending on your ISP, they'll service your connection for free. My connection in Suwon blows goats in comparison to the connection I had in Gwangju (80 megabits makes me hard).
Setting up your PC for BT really doesn't require much technical knowledge. Some BT protocols have more options for "power users" but many have been streamlined for your Average Joe. Limewire and E-Donkey may be other options, but in the end the set-up will be about the same.

Well, I did tinker with it and "fixed" it (although I have no idea how I did it or how it fixed itself). I figure if it aint broke, don't fix it.
I actually reinstalled the torrent program with a more recent version and I guess the update addressed the disconnection issues (I used a K-program called Pruna which was inordinately fast for korean files or files titled in korean transliteration of the English name).
Even with the automatic disconnection prevented or fixed, the down load would take days or weeks for some of the more obsecure files or movies or songs or tv programming.
Thanks for all the help though. I salute you. |

I just tried blueyoyo, but then got a whole bunch of hits to my firewall and adware just visiting the site and downloading the required programs to sign up!
Any one got other good pay sites without the cute stuff? |

If you fixed your blinking connection, why do you need pay sites?
