Does anyone have any experience shipping musical instruments abroad? I'm looking to ship and electric guitar to South Africa via the cheapest/slowest option for a buddy. I'm assuming I will have to go with an independent shipper (DHL, FEDEX...) but would love to go via the Korean Postal service if available. I also assume that going into the post office with a guitar and an address in South Africa will get me plenty of confused looks and little help. Perhaps I am underestimating the postal service, anyone with experience? Prices? Safety of goods?
thanks in advance,
Kevin |

| Couriers can be more expensive, especially if you live outside of Seoul. |

4 years ago one teacher at the hogwan I was at shipped several guitars home.
If you are shipping an electric guitar you can take it apart and put it in a box at the post office.
It shouldnt cost you more than 25,000 to ship it surface mail. |
