I'm sure you all know W Academy is struggling financially. I'm surprised they still have any schools open.
You're probably also aware these people are highly unethical and do not care one bit about their employees. I know of Korean teachers who haven't been paid for nearly 2 months.
Anyway, there is a good chance they have not been depositing your pension deductions with the pension office. Every teacher I know has checked and no payments have been made even though, of course, they have deducted from the pay. You should go and check at the pension office to make sure you will get your refund when you leave.
The pension office told me they are prosecuting W Academy now, and seizing assets, such as company cars, to get the money W owes. W will not be around much longer so get out now if you can. |

There was a guy on here not too long ago singing praises for W Academy. You might want to contact him and give him a warning.

| Well 'W' sold the branch I'm working at to a couple who've owned a hogwan in Canada. Like everyone else we've had pay issues, but in March the new owner paid us, instead of W, even though the official changeover date hadn't passed. Things are rapidly changing at our branch, so it's hard to know how things will go over time. |

How should one go about collecting pensions from the W English Language Academy. They deducted the money but never made any payments of Pension since November of 2004. As they owe me (and several of my former co workers) this money) what is the BEST way to get it out of them.
The government has record they owe this money. HOW do I get it out of W? I am not currently in Korea so any help people can give would be greatly appreciated. |
