Koreans seem to have quite the obsession with poo. We took the preschool kids on a fieldtrip to a local bookstore last week. Many of the books seemed to be about poo.

This is my favorite one.. I returned today to buy it for a friend's upcoming birthday, as we both enjoy discussing poo from time to time (though he's a little more obsessed with poo than am I.. did you know sesame oil is a laxative?). Anyway, check it out:

This brings up the topic of regional differences.

Where I come from, poo is #1 and comes only in a yellowish liquid form; poop is #2 and comes in mostly very dark brown solid form.

I'm perversely interested: In which English-speaking countries is poo solid and which liquid?

Ya-ta:

Are you saying "poo" is urine and "poop" is feces?

Where did you say you were from?

I'm also from the US and I was always under the impression that #1 was wee-wee and #2 was doo-doo.
