Hopefully some Irish person on here can help me. I was looking up what is necessary when applying for the E2 in Dublin and some websites say I will need a copy of my Garda clearance form. Can any one tell me if this is true?
Anyone who has obtained their Visa in the last few weeks if you could explain the process to me that'd be appreciated cos at least then i will know i have up to date and accurate info.
I haven't kept a copy of mine, foolishly, so if that is the case then I'll need to apply for a new one again asap. |

hey i got mine there recently. They said that you can only apply on a mon,wed and fri between 9.30 and 11.30. I went down on a monday with my contract, notice of appointment, passport, 40 euro and passport pics. You'll need to know your pps number for the application. I got mine back the friday of that week. Easy |

Thanks for that, was getting worried that I'd get my NOA and contract but then be told i needed the copy of the clearance as well and i'd miss my chance.
Did you call back to collect your passport or did they post it to you?
Did they interview you while you were there?
Heard you've to do it if its your first visa.Just want to know as i'll have to shell out 70 for the train up and down so one journey is enough. |

it was really easy to be honest i wouldn't worry about it. They didn't ask me anything. You just fill out a short application, normal stuff like personal details. There was noone there when i went, all very relaxed in there. I had to collect it on the friday after 3pm. I didn't ask her to post it as I work in Dublin so it wasn't any problems. I'm not sure if its an option. The number is 6608800, give them a quick call to just confirm that you have everything before you leave. |
