Absolutely by far the best recent Family Guy episode was PTV, where Peter takes on the FCC.

Also, you should see the recent South Park two-episode arc where they take on Family Guy. |

That was absolutely brutal. I'm a die-hard SP fan, but I've always found Family Guy to be funny. Watching those episodes has forced me to ask myself, "Why is this funny?" everytime they do an Oh yeah? That's not as bad as the time/Remember the time/Imagine if scenes.
I still laugh occasionally at Family Guy, but the guys at South Park really took the wind out of their sails. |

| Family Guy seems to have fewer jokes per minute than Simpsons or South Park. Or maybe I just don't get most of them. I even think King of the Hill is more interesting. Sorry! |

King of the Hill is an awesome show. But it's not the same level of wackiness as South Park, Simpsons, Family Guy, or American Dad. That's probably why it can hold its own. Its edge is the richness of its characters and the ability to make them seem more real as the show goes on, not less real like the other shows.
You should see the season finale: Lucky (Tom Petty) proposes to Luanne at the end of a shotgun. |

Yeah, you got that right. Unlike the others, King Of The Hill characters seem pretty normal. It's the world around them which is messed up. |

No, not normal exactly. Don't the words "That boy ain't right" mean anything to you? |

| Yeah some of the Family Guy stuff isn't that funny. Great, incest jokes. Edgy. I like the dog and the baby but the rest is kind of lame. |
