Textbook Bribery Scandal Hits EBS
Police said two senior EBS officials, including a 47-year-old man, identified as Park, allegedly took 20 to 30 million won in kickbacks from seven distributors in Seoul in exchange for preferential treatment over the exclusive rights to supply the textbooks.
Police have traced bank accounts of the two. Investigators are also checking bank accounts of three other EBS officials to confirm their involvement in the bribery.
In 1997, top EBS officials were arrested on charges of taking tens of millions won in kickbacks from publishers in the procedure of selecting textbooks.

Well that explains how those books ended up in classrooms. Certainly not for being educational. |

This headline duped me.
I thought it was going to be an explanation of the perfect bribery case. |
