Anybody going to watch the 2011 Asia Series in Taiwan starting November 25? Samsung Lions will represent Korea, Japan is playing their championship now, Perth Heat will represent Australia, and I don't know about Taiwan. It should be interesting to see how Korea's best fares against the others. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/2011_Asia_Series |

Amateur baseball has never held much appeal for me, and I love baseball. |

Australian Baseball League, wow:

Described as a "professional baseball league"... I don't know about that!
I remember some baseball players from the Brisbane Bandits coming to my school in 1994 when I was in primary school. Surprised they still exist. Surely Perth Heat will be thrashed every game. |

They're (Samsung) supposed to be Korea's best professional team, but this series usually doesn't get much airtime from the Korean press, probably because Japan usually wins it. I'm still seeing replays from the 2008 Beijing Olympics with Korea's gold medal victory. Thankfully there will be no more baseball in the Olympics. Perth Heat has some U.S. players, but none I've heard of. It should be interesting to see how the series plays out. |
