|
|
I got a "magic straight" perm nearly a year ago and loved it, but am now wanting my curly hair back. Does anyone know of a good place to get a spiral perm? My curly hair is growing back in, but I don't want to get another straight perm. I know that perms are pretty popular with ajumas, but I don't want the "krimper-look-alike perm." I want my spirals back. Any advice will be greatly appreciated! |

I'm not sure, but if you read the topic of this post really quickly, it looks like SPERM.
That sort of freaked me out! |

go to where you got your hair straight permed and ask for a spiral perm, i think they used to call it 'boomerang' - not sure now... or just look for a picture and bring it in, but let them know you got a straight perm before, i think it might make a difference |

I've heard you can get a Spermal Prime in certain places in Itaewon. |

I want a perm, too, but I don't have time!!!
My hair has gone incredibly curly since Letty's birth and I want it probably curled, rather than just half-a*sed curled! |

Is that digital perm the one that makes people with straight hair look like they've spent the whole morning curling the bottom half of their hair into perfect wavy spirals?
I think that's what I got, then, and I loved it. Had a couple perms in the US in jr. high and they never stayed in, but the perm in Korea did and it looked like my hair was naturally curly. I loved it!
If it is called a digital, let me know, so I can try to find a place to do it here in the US. I remember they hooked my hair up to little rods that plugged in and then it pulled the hair wrapped around the curler out all over my head and it looked like a medusa! Then they undid the curls, put some solution on it and let it sit longer. It was an awesome perm...took a couple hours at least, though. |

yep that's the one...i have no clue what makes it 'digital'...but whatever, it's really nice looking...and yes it is the one with the weird curlers on a wire, and then a balloon sack around your head
if only my hair would grow out faster... |

Do the ladies who got a "digital perm" still remember how much it cost? I just got one done at "Juno" and think I overpaid. Although it doesn't really matter now but at least I'll have a better idea for next time. My hair is very fine but quite long(past my shoulders). Thanks. |

i paid over 100 for a cut, treatment, and perm at mini misua (in apgu)
and about 70 for all of that again at frank provst (think that's the right name, in insadong)
and then about 10,ooo for a bottle of curling spray at techno mart |

Well, I definately paid too much! Just a warning for those thinking of going to "Juno Hair." I paid 130 000 just for the perm. She offered me a regular one for 80 000 but said the digital one was better for my hair. The conditioning treatment was 45 000. At least I got a 10% discount with my "membership" card. This was at the one in Myeongdong. I'll definately be going elsewhere next time around! Thanks guys!
The result: safisfactory but nothing exceptional. |
