I'll offer my two cents...I lived in that area for about 7 1/2 months (In Bongchun). When I first got there I was really excited to hear that infamous Seoul University is. But tbh I kinda felt the place was a bit of a let down in terms of what I was expecting. I thought it would be booming with college kids running around have a good time everywhere (kinda like Sinchon or Sincheon). But it was a lot different...seemed like the students usually were on campus or went somewhere else to have a good time.
The place kinda feels like Dongjak Gu to me. It's centrally located in Seoul so you have easy access to lots of different places, which is good because the actual area itself is kinda boring. The residents are good people and I really met some of my closest friends there, but in terms of living/working there I think it's location is good but it's not the most exciting place to be.
Also in terms of the girls of Seoul University you have to keep in mind that these were the bookworms of high school that are attending there......and so generally speaking I thought they weren't anything to write home about. Maybe Spinoza had a different experience, but that's my judgement from what I saw. |
