I have some good telephone dialogues that I have used over and over, but I would like to try some new ones.

Anyone out there know of some good sites where I can find some ready made dialogues about anything.

www.onestopenglish.com used to have/has(?) some dialogs - eg, going to the doctor. they weren't that great if I recall.

Have you considered using TV scripts for naturalized dialogs? You could try the Seinfeld scripts from www.script-o-rama.com and extract dialogs from there.

There's also some interactive dialogs on various topics on the www.liveabc.co.kr

Can you have your students write dialogs to practice (after you've quality controlled them)?

This is a great approach! I do this in my classes every week. First have the students brainstorm "phone situations". You'll probably want to make your own list first to make sure that nothing gets left out. (Examples: Arranging to meet someone, making an appointment, calling your teacher to say you'll be absent or late, calling a parent to tell them that you'll be late.....) Then, each class, choose one, write a sample dialogue with plenty of opportunity for variations on the board. The students work in pairs to create their OWN dialogue and either perform it in front of the class, or just to you in their seats. This method uses all 4 learning skills...and is a LOT less work for you!
