This baby has given me a lot of good times in Korea. It's a yamaha f-310 acoustic guitar - if you don't know a lot about guitars, it's a beginner's guitar but considered a very good beginner's guitar at that. I bought it in Korea from Harpeau, a truly good guy, for 60,000 six months ago. He had reduced the price from the 100,000 he was originally asking for, which if you've bought anything from him, is probably the fair market price. It's in decent condition and has a nice sound, but has a small crack in the back of the neck which does not affect playability but at the same time might pose a problem if you had ideas of eventually shipping this thing back to North America or what have you.
So here's the deal; I'm fleeing Korea soon and gotta get rid of this thing. I'm willing to sell, barter, donate, whatever, so make me a compelling offer if you're interested. If you want me to donate this to you, you gotta give me an interesting, tear-jerking story that will convince me that:
a) it won't sit in the corner of your room
b) you're not gonna just go sell it back on Dave's for 100,000 in a week.
c) for whatever reason, you're too poor to pay but if I give it to you, you'll end up being the next Jimmy Page
If you're gonna barter, offer me something interesting. Be creative, less than 1000 words, and funny. PM me an offer that will make a memorable story for me 10 years from now. Or just offer me money
Pics of guitar to come later. Gotta get rid of it by May 27th. |

First noteworthy offer you guys are gonna have to top:
I have wanted to learn guitar for years. Regular attendance to a local open mic has finally given me enough motivation to start.
I have always had musical instruments and playing music as a huge part of my life and have recently regretted that I didn't maintain that joy when I moved to Korea.
I currently can play the flute, oboe, clarinet and a bit of the piano and trumpet...I learn new instruments quickly and am hoping to have the same success with the guitar.
Now I don't have a sob story for you because most of the ones I do think of hit a little too close to home and there's no fun in that.
SO HERE'S MY OFFER: you give me your guitar and I will offer you a unique gift in return...an honor very few people can brag (OK, no other person I know can brag):
The guitar in exchange for naming either 1)one of my ovaries or 2) my uterus after you!
THAT'S RIGHT! Imagine how your name will be forever remembered!
Scene : (watching an action movies with friends, man gets punched in the gut)
Friend: Did you see that?!?! What a hit!
Me: I KNOW! I felt THAT all the way down in my uterus (insert your name here)
Think of the possibilities!!
BUT THAT'S NOT ALL!
I'll even include an authentic (and by authentic I mean printed off and hand coloured...), laminated certificate stating the official naming of said ovary/uterus.
I guarrantee:
she will not sit in the corner unplayed. I am a bit obsessive and once I decide to learn something, I have to stick it out.
she WILL be well taken care of and greatly appreciated (I have roughly 2 years left in Korea and need the comfort...)
WHADDAYA SAY?! Very Happy Very Happy Very Happy |
