Okay, so the answer to this question is pretty obvious, but just for a giggle please take a moment to rattle off your opinion to this assinine scenario.
I posted here a couple months ago about our somewhat ridiculous work schedule. Basically we work from about 2:30 to 9:30.. teaching for almost the entire time, with no real breaks or lunchtime. Now the summer school session is coming up. This adds 2 extra classes to the mix for which he insisted during winter session we work for free. We settled for 30,000 won a day to do this extra hour and a half. This time many of us are inclined to flat-out refuse to do it since we already work fulltime, and the extra pay doesn't reflect the renumeration which we should get for doing overtime nor the amount of money they would have to pay someone from outside to come down for this part-time gig.
So would you like to teach ten classes in a row in this situation? |

So, you teach 8 classes from 2:30 to 9:30? Then he's asking you to teach two more, but is that after 9:30? Before 2:30? How long are your classes? Please give specifics. |

Does it really matter? 10 classes is 10 classes. Each class is 40 or 45 minutes long. That results in more than 7 hours of teaching time in a day. The first class would begin at 1pm. The last one ends at 9:20 pm. No lunch. There would be one 20 minute "break" from 2:30 to 2:50. The rest is just 5 or ten minute intervals between classes like everyday. |

If it's in your contract, do it. If it's not, don't. If he tries to make you, threaten to leave. |

I'd say you should be getting at least 40,000 Won/day for that. |
