Hey, How many of you have co-workers/frds who are non-whites, and still able to get a job in Korea??

Asians, Africa-Americans, others....How come those races have such a difficulty to at least get a reply or phone call from the employers?

I am Asian and grew up in US. Should I just come to Korea and look for jobs in person?

any advice?? thanks Very Happy

I think this is what you mean. I count about 12 errors in this passage. I hope your resume doesn't look like this.

Situation: Private Elementary school - English Immersion Program in Daejeon.

This year: 10 teachers - UK. USA, Canada, S Africa, Australia -
1 Korean/Canadian; 1 Indian SA, 1 Native American Canadian, the rest white (age between mid 20's to mid 60's)(2 men, 8 women).

Last year: 8 teachers - 2 Indian SA, 1 Korean American, 1 Native American Canadain, rest white (age mid 20's-60's)(2 men, 6 women). 2years ago: 6 teachers - 1 Black Jamaican, 2 Indian SA, rest white (age mid 20-30's)(1 man, 5 women).

This year, end of August 2006, we need a new teacher for one teacher completing her contract, (grade 2). Next year beginning in March 2007 - we need 12 teachers as we include Grade 6 in the Immersion Program - dedicated, responsible, caring, preferred certified teacher but that natural aptitude (born teachers), as well as age, gender, race, not an issue if the quality is there.

Not and ESL only - Math, Science, LArts, etc. Interested? PM me and I will tell you more.

Victoria
