extremely talented guy.. probably the only person ever off American Idol that I'd actually consider buying music of. |

I don't follow that stuff, but the fact he plays guitar puts him way up in my estimation already. If he writes his own stuff too, that would clinch it for me... |

He's gotta be about the most annoying person I've ever seen get to the Hollywood round. His dancing is horrid and his signature move with that stupid back bend and crossed arms looks like he's having a seizure. I think you're right though - he'll probably win |

As Simon pointed out "it's not a dancing competition." If anything his moves emulate one of his role-models: Joe C0cker. |

Simon is a prize knob though, and he's often very wrong about who has mass appeal... |

The Alabama boy has got style & character.
That's not always so common on American Idol - usually they are just good singers. |

I just started watching American Idol this season after mocking people who watched it the previous seasons....
It's actually a good show, if you start liking the contestants - I think. I like some of their versions of the songs that they sang better than the originals...And it's always interesting to see if Paula Abdul is drunk/high each week....
If you did watch it, man...I thought Chris Daughtry was awesome...and hopefully Kellie's "Golly....I know...I butchered it" innocence isn't really a facade and won't disappear....Even though, she did have a 'slight' problem hitting all of the notes... |

Ok, I know everyone says this but my two favorites from the begining were Catherine and Taylor. I actually was routing slitghly more for Taylor towards the end. Its kind of disturbing to know that my taste is unoriginal.
Anyway, i just stumbled across this today. listen to the first song at the bottom. It is very representative:
