--------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Hello all,
Let me thank those for any advice/suggetions/insults in advance. My situation is this: I have taught in Korea before a year ago. I was teaching at one school for a short while yadadayada things didnt work out so I switched to another hagwon. I had to get a new E2 visa . Long story hort I ended up swichting one more time and by the time I was done I had issued to me 3 or 4 E-2 visas all within the same year.
My question is this:
I have tried to return to Korea having a hagwon sponsor me to issue me a new E-2 visa this time and Immigration will not give me one due to this bad history. What can I do?
Just give up? or are there alternatives I am most likepy not aware of ?

You have 2 options.

Try again with another recruiter unless you actually got a real letter of denial from immigration. They may have just checked your history and said no thanks and blamed immigration.

I assumed that since you said, "I have taught in Korea before a year ago," what you meant was that your departure was more than one year ago.

If you have in fact been labeled "Persona Non Grata" by immigration then you are out of luck. Try Japan or Taiwan or China. a BAN by immigration will typically be either 2 years, 5 years or life.

Now for a side issue. You went through 4 schools in one year? That would strongly suggest that YOU are unsuited to teaching in Korea.

Either you are not suitable by temper and/or temperament for the job
OR
you didn't research your employers before signing on the dotted line.

Either way, you probably shouldn't be here.

Ignore him alejovoz. His post wasn't helpful and did not benefit you. Let him have his "moment in the spotlight."

Why come here then? Go to China, Japan and any other country. It isn't that hard to do.
