My personal opinion?

I reckon there's going to be absolute mayhem.

This is the first World Cup ever where people have been encouraged to come WITHOUT tickets.

Germany's hooligans are proper nasty... especially the East German neo-nazis.

POLAND are playing Germany is the group stages.

Just about everyone I know who's into the football back home is going; there will be a massive contingent of English there wanting to show who's boss.

Personally, I always think it adds a bit of spice to the tournament, although a lot of people my disagree with me.

I think Koreans will run wild. We all know that they are like nationalistic panzer tanks. Fear the xenophobic nationalists Koreans. Kimchi power.

Wow, 2 options. How about, it will be like it always is, or there will be some violence.

Adds spice?? A national embarassment is a more accurate description of football hooligans and the xenophobic/racist/homophobic/sexist/sadistic ethos that they perpetuate. What kind of idiotic comment is this??
I find the fact that anybody condones this behaviour deeply depressing, especially (apparently) educated individuals.

English fans were pretty well behaved at Euro2004 so I am crossing my fingers they will follow suit in 06. The FA, the British Government, the police and the England Supporters Association have all been working extremely hard to change the reputation of the supporters abroad over the last few years, and I hope this remains the case.

I agree that the German fans can be a bit rough especially those bases in the East and from Hamburg, when I lived in Germany I went to a few games of my local team, when they played in the first division there was never any trouble and almost zero police presence, then they got promoted and one of their first games was against Hamburg - there were police all over the city that day, way more than any other game they played.

Holliganism is one of the worst aspects of football, I hate to see it and would hope that this year nothing like that will happen, unfortunately I think that there will be some trouble

Sense of humour 있어요?

And why "deeply depressing"? A little melodramatic, surely? Violence, death, destruction, declaring bankruptcy, torture are deeply depressing. Someone making a comment you find disagreeable on a message board really ought not to deeply depress you.

Embarrassment has 2 r's by the way.

Sorry to dissappoint you...... I can't help it but I've always found fighting entertaining. Personally never really indulged in it properly at the football, but seen plenty of "offs" from a safe distance. On a club level, I've always related to it, but don't that much on an international level as most of its based around stupid patriotism. I fully understand why it happens though.

Why is it politically incorrect to say harassment as in herassment whereas we can still say embarrass? Which is worse - her ass or a bare ass? I guess maybe it depends on who's ass it is, right?

Brits are innately, fairly aggressive. Irish too. Always looking for trouble, or making it where none exists.
Looking on a global scale, Europeans have a terrible reputation for recreational violence. Symptom of a first world society: idleness, alienation, boredom...and sensation.

People who want to fight over a game and devote their emotional lives to the cause of a soccer club..R Really sad IMHO
