Here is a Korean myth proven true AFAIK. My wife has been saying for years now that ramyeon, eaten directly out of the pot it was cooked in tastes better than ramyeon in a bowl. I passed this off as a kind of "fan death" propaganda statement (i.e its not true but all Koreans believe it) and ignored it, happily putting my ramyeon in a bowl and eating it like a civilized person.

This morning, all right... this noon, I got up, was hungry... the wife was still asleep and I decided a ramyeon was in order. I cooked up a great Shin Ramyeon (the KING of ramyeon: if its too hot for you then get go back home) in the pot and decided to give it a try... "Go on," I thought to myself, "let's live on the edge and eat it out of the pot!"

Lo and behold! My wife is correct... on an order of magnitude too great for words, ramyeon eaten in the pot is much better than ramyeon in a bowl. Exponentially better (so I guess there were words after all).

To all here, do yourselves a favour.. if you don't know this secret, give it a try. If you do know, pay if forward and help others.

I do that at least twice a week. Of course, I'm a bachelor so it's just the right thing to do.

This phenomenon can also be see with drinking Coke. Out of a plastic bottle is just rancid (better to put it in a glass), out of a can is passable, but out of a glass bottle is the way to do it.

Coke out of a glass bottle is definitely better than a plastic bottle.

I'd give my left ball to be able to trek to a burger king when hung over. Unfortunately the nearest one to me is in Songtan, an hour away Crying or Very sad
