So I've accepted a Job in Incheon City! And I am very excited to finally be coming to Korea!

The Job I accepted is at a Hagwon, I have spoken to teachers at the school who have all given glowing recommendations about what its like to work there. All of my visa documents have arrived at the school and I am on track to be arriving on the 25'th of this month.

I'm a little worried about my criminal background check that I sent. Its a Royal Newfoundland Constabulary background check, it comes with a typed letter on RNC letterhead explaining that a CPIC search was done and I have no record of criminal activity or convictions, along with a more official looking second page called "Certificate of Criminal Screening" which basically just say's that no one in Canada with my Name/birth date has a criminal record.

I noticed some threads on this board saying that municiple police checks are being rejected by Korean Immigration? The recruiter I used was very clear with me that my RNC CBC would not be rejected based on the letter explaining it was a CPIC check. She doesn't seem to concerned, but based on my own research I am starting to become a little worried!

Anyways, I'm sort of losing sleep over this all of a sudden. I've invested so much time/money into this! I'm currently living off Employment Insurance due to me being laid off from my last job. I've only got 6 weeks left till I'm working at a McJob.

So, what do you think my chances of being screwed by this are? I know its a bit late to be asking this now. I'm preparing myself to be disappointed.

Thanks!

I should also probably mention. My documents were accepted and authenticated at the Korean Consulate in Montreal without any issues.

If the consulate has already notarized them, it should be fine. Smile
