1. Anybody have experience(s) dealing with the Nikon A/S Service Center in Kangnam? Need to have my D100 cleaned (mirror, internals, etc.)... Is it near any well-known landmarks?

2. Where's the best place for the best prices on Nikon equipment? Thinking about a D200 and want that new DX 18-200...

The best place would be Namdeumun or at Yongsan in the old terminal building (2nd floor I think)

I'm also interesting in the 18-200. Is it cheaper here than Japan or back home?

Actually, I am also interested in the Nikkor 18-200 VR lens. But they are about as common as hens teeth.

Also, it would be about $200 cheaper in the states.

I went to the service center in Kangnam this past week... no problem finding it... Truthfully, I was expecting a nice, plush Nikon service center and such... it was only a small, basement place run by a super kind older gentleman and his secretary. They were genuinely friendly and helpful. They cleaned my mirror and ccd for free. I was stoked as it got rid of the dust spots on my photos.

As for the new lens, I am off to Namdaemun to search for it (maybe tomorrow). I am pretty sure it will be difficult to find and more expensive than I am willing to pay, but I still wanna find out for certain. Not sure about the local prices. I asked the service center, but they don't sell Nikon products, only do after purchase service. Will post an update soon...

Went to about 15 different camera shops in Namdaemun over the past weekend... none have the 18-200 new zoom lens. It isn't available online at any site I've checked. Anybody that gets a lead on this lens, please let me know... I WANT IT BAD!

Yes, its a rare lens. I have also been looking for it.
