My friend did this tour last month and said that it was awesome. Thought I'd share.

Dear Friends,

The House of Sharing is a safe house for former sexual slaves victims (women who
were forced into sexual slavery under the Japanese). On Sunday, May 28th, we'll
be running our montly English language tour of the museum.
Until this year, tours had only been available in Japanese or Korean,
so we are excited about making this amazing place accessible to English speakers.

We are not historians so the tour will be very casual. In addition to visiting the on-site museum,
we will visit some of the survivors and listen to their stories. This is a wonderful opportunity to
learn about Korea and Korean history.

We hope you will join us on Sunday, May 28th, 2006.
We will meet at Gangbyeon Station at 10am (the museum is a 40 minute bus ride from there).
We will return to Gangbyeon Station at around 4pm.

RSVP required. First come first serve basis. Email us your name and cell phone number

if possible to [email protected] by Wednesday May 24th.

We'll send you an email confirming your spot and more detailed information.
If you want to read about Sharing House, please visit www.nanum.org

Thank you,
Tim, Maria, and Andrea (volunteers)

Well, I went and it was fab.
Very sad in places, but the location of the house is beautiful and the ladies seem well cared for.

I went this past Sunday too and I highly recommend going to those that haven't been there yet. When a friend of mine moves up here in September I'm planning on going again with her.
