|
|
Hello, I was thinking how wonderful it would be to get the money from my school for the ticket back home and go back slowly stoping in different countries, but what to do with my stuff. Does anybody have any ideas on shipping stuff home or sending it by air ? Is it super expensive, is it reliable? Has anyone done it before? I can't find anything online, I can only find super expensive rates for huge boxes....
thanks |

How much stuff do you have? Postal rates for surface boxes are surprisingly reasonable. A shipper who can do a cubic meter door-to-door or door-to-port might be a good idea if you have larger or heavy items. |

I am sending basically what I would take in the plane. Along with my fiance we would have 4 bags of around 70 pounds. |

You could easily send that by surface in a few boxes. |

On the Korea Post website you can calculate the price of a package by its weight and up to 20kg is allowable. Do the dimensions of the box not matter? |

Yes they do.
For surface mail the dimensions of the box Length + circumference must not exceed 2 meters. |

Do you know if it needs to be a box from the korean post? Could it be a luggage that I already have? I don't get the dimensios, "circumference is for circles" so, is it 2 meters in lenght, height and width all together? |

Any package will do.
Maximum dimensions are length + 2x width + 2x height.
So for example a box that is 80cm long, 30cm high and 30 cm wide would be the max.
simply put...
Wrap a string around the box. Now add the length to that. The total length of your string cannot exceed 2 meters. |
