I want to watch DVDs on my laptop but the sound is so low. I have tried adjusting the settings, and I'm using a good qulaity JBL amp, but it's still so quiet. Is there anything I can do to alter the performance internally? I mean, some kind of upgrade? If so, where would I go to get this done?
Thanks~ |

If its the volume, try using a different player - I prefer GOM or ZOOM.
Beyond that try the (graphic) equalizer - also available on MS media player.
A different amp might have more sensitivity - my high-end Altec-Lansings are much better than my friends low-end ALs.
If it is absurdly low for other media, then you have a problem somewhat internally or with the cable. |

Buy some speakers....a decent pair costs around 20,000 won and makes a HUGE difference. |

Yeah um....I have an amp (with speakers!), not a cheap one either, but it doesn't do the trick (although it works great with any other audio). Can anyone tell me, is it possible to alter INTERNALLY? |

are these *real* DVDs or are they downloaded ones? i've downloaded countless movies with audio so low it is unintelligible without a 1500W amp! if it is a factory DVD, then i don't know what could be wrong. maybe you could adjust the sound card's output level? what kind of sound card are you using? |
