Does anyone know of any types/brands/models of cellphones that use a SIM card? |

I've seen slots for sim cards in most of the newish Korean cell phones, but i don't know if they work outside of the country. If you want to use a simcard in Korea, then forget about it......Korea is pretty much the only country in the world that won't allow sim-card coverarge. |

The problem is that Korea uses CDMA technology and most of the rest of the planet uses GSM technology for their phones.
Hence, changing sims is not an option in Korean phones and they also cannot be used outside of Korea.
The "sim" slots that are beginning to show up in Korean phones is for smart technology to allow you to add a chip so you can use your phone for things like bus/subway fare etc. |
