OK folks!

We're very excited about the honeymoon and travelling to the Phillipines and Japan.

I've sorted out the Phillipines side of things, but I'm in awe of how much stuff there is to do in Tokyo. We're not staying in Tokyo for long, but want to have a really busy and fun time there on a reasonable budget.

Travel gurus! What do you suggest? I've been researching all day about Tokyo and there is too much to see. It almost seems like you could spend a month in the damn city and not see half of what it has to offer. I guess it sounds like an Asian version of London to me at the moment.

We're there for a very short time and don't mind getting busy there, what are the unmissable places to go and see.

Any input is kindly appreciated.

Hi Keith,

A friend and I did the same thing back in March, 2 days ..
I asked for suggestions on the Japan forum and there were lots of great tips...helped us organize our weekend ...so search for the thread there ..it's under Tokyo questions or something..

We stayed in the Shinjuku area (happening area, that's also where the red light district is)...drank some sake in a cozy hole-in-the-wall bar there... got to check out Ginza (the fancy shopping district) Roppongi (party foreigner area) went to see an art exhibit on the urban development of Tokyo compared to Berlin (modern art) went up on the Tokyo tower, went to see Harajuku (and the famous Harajuku girls)...went to the Meiji Shrine..
well no doubt there is alot to see in Tokyo and I should definitely go back for longer..but honestly we saw and did quite a bit...schedule was crazy but definitely fun (so fun we missed our plane back to Busan)
I guess the key is narrowing it down a bit...

But do check out the Japan forum, people were extremely helpful in their responses..
