So I walked into class the other day and my students go

'wow! CLG teacher, S-line Good!'

What weird konglish compliments have you gotten?

I think you're very attractable.

No, sorry. That's not Konglish, is it? It's just a mistake. Oh well.
I can't think of a specifically Konglishy kompliment I've heard.

My first week ever in Korea my partner teacher told me I was "very slime." She repeated it over and over and I still couldn't make sense from it. Then she wrote it down -- "SLIM."

I'm "glamour." This is Konglish code for "busty" (see also: S-line)

From girls at a gas station:

"Cute boy!"

When I said "What?" they seemed kind of embarrassed and said "Nice boy!"

I get the big head one, too. In Korean 대머리 (big head) means bald. Nice compliment to receive, either way.

I had a group of high school boys standing around me in the dressing room at the gym watching me undress saying 'you are body good!'. I can't imagine what would happen back home if a group of high school boys tried that. I also apparently look like someone on EBS and am always getting compliments about my EBS programme from Koreans in the TEFL industry who think they've seen me on TV.

Speaking of Koreans not being able to tell us apart - I was at a conference on Saturday and immediately after a presentation a woman came up to me in the lobby to compliment me on my presentation. It took a while to realise that she had me mixed up with the presenter. He was in a formal shirt and tie and had straight hair; I was in a casual shirt and have very curly hair. I think they're even worse with us than we are with them.

Actually I think that glamour merely refers to boobie size where as 's-line' just refers to having a good waist/hip area. More of an hour glass shap. As my glamor isn't looking very glamourous these days.

Not a compliment, but when I got off the plane my first day in Korea after an 11 hour flight my new boss said to me, "You must be very tedious!"
