I tried wakeboarding for the first time last summer in Andong but hate to say I'm not really that good although would like to try doing more around or near Seoul, esp. on the Han if it isn't that dirty. Perhaps a wetsuit is required.
Andong was quiet and the lake was clean and clear. I enjoyed the time I was there.
The set up there had their own boats, no jet skis however, professional staff who teach the basics however no English. Going with a Korean friend helped.
Expect to spend about 30,000 or so for a 10-min. ride.

Usually the season for water sports in Korea begins around April and lasts into October as the water gets colder.
If anyone wants has more information on locations and clubs that meet in Korea, feel free to post them here. |

Where do they happen to be going?
Rafting here is not quite like it would be on say, the Colorado, but good times are had. Also, near Andong there was a rafting center at the river across the road from the old Byeongsan Seowon Confucian Academy. |
