I just read a thread below about the F-3 visa.

The big question is:

Why would anyone want an F-3 visa? What's the point in even having them?

An F3 visa is for a dependant spouse or family member: My husband had to get an F3 visa to accompany me here. Hes Spanish and thus cannot teach English. He works from home via the computer. Works out great for us!

But what's the difference between an F-2 and F-3?

They seem to do the same thing...

You can't "work" for a Korean company with just an F-2 I think... you still need to get immigration approval...

Or have things changed?

Things have changed. No permission required for F2s to work anywhere they want.

It might be that an F-2 is for foreign spouses of Korean citizens, while an F-3 is for foreign spouses of foreign citizens.
