This thread was born from the Canadian experiences thread. This is for non-Canadians to ask Canadians questions about Canada. I would love to see teachers from other countries start up similar threads because I would like to learn more about your countries too. So who has a question to get us started here?

Move into baby-seal-skin tents.

We build temporary summer homes out of bark, leaves, and goose grease. You can do a great deal with goose grease, you know.
Except in Alberta: We just sit in the grass, drink a lot of Budweiser, and watch Fox.

You know, I get asked that question all the time. Just before they melt, we sell them to people like you.

Trailer Park Boys, no?

My question:

Are all the Maple Leaf(the flag, not the team) patches you guys wear on your backpacks, tooks and lingerie produced domestically, or are they all made in China, like ours?

Alright, while I'd say that we really made the mafia the huge entity that it was, I'll conceed and switch the US one to cowboys.

The mafia are deeply entrenched in Canadian society, but are considerably more low key than the mafia in America. In Canada, you won't even know who the kinpins are. They're centralized in the Italian neighborhoods particularly in Montreal & Toronto. I heard a story about a Pizza Hut franchisee refusing to pay his protection money to the mafia. His Pizza Hut, located in an Italian neighborhood in Montreal went up in flames one night in the wee hours of the morning. I don't know if there's any truth to this story. I just heard it.

Recently, motorcycle gangs like The Hells Angels are very powerful and are making their presence known.

Probably all made in China. Our country has completely sold out to China. The only Canadian-made thing you can buy in a souvenir shop now is Maple Syrup. But I guess it's only a matter of time before the Chinese figure out a way to copy that too Laughing

Whodat in your avatar photo? - At first glance I thought it was Jason Alexander wearing a Russian Kosack hat - but he's from New Jersey... Are Canadians all commies (with that red flag and all...)?
